Where to bring the good stuff.
We accept donated supplies only, never money. Email us and we will arrange a hand-off.
How it works for now
Email first, and we will meet you.
We do not have a public drop-off box yet. Until we do, send us an email and we will sort out somewhere convenient to collect — it is a small county and we are usually able to come to you.
We will list a proper drop-off point here the day one is agreed, and not a day before. Sending you somewhere on a maybe wastes your trip.
If you run a business, church, or community space in or near Monroe and would be willing to hold a box for us, we would like to hear from you.
Before you pack the car
What we can and cannot take.
Seeds, seedlings, and plants
Unopened seed packets and healthy nursery plants. Our full list is on the homepage.
Tools, gloves, and a trellis
Hand tools and gloves in working condition. Lightly used is fine.
Clean packing materials
Unused paper bags and clean cardboard boxes for moving bundles to the clinic.
Money, in any form
We cannot accept cash, cheques, or transfers. Homegrown Hearts is a student-led initiative with no bank account, and donations are not tax-deductible.
Food, or anything opened
No produce, no pantry items, and nothing whose packaging has been opened. Everything in a bundle is grown by us.
Used gardening soil
Bagged soil must be sealed and unopened. Used soil can carry disease into the beds.

If you are not sure whether we can use something, send a photo. That is faster for both of us than a wasted trip.
